What constitutes as an emergency situation? Well, every emergency tree service call from Iron Tree Service is different. Sometimes it’s a tree limb that has fallen onto a car, fence or house and sometimes it’s a dangerous tree that needs to be removed before any unsafe situation can occur. On this day, we were called to work as part of team that included the Danvers animal control, the Danvers Fire Department and the Danvers Police to help rescue a red tail hawk that was caught in a net.
As The Salem News reported, “Golf and birdies are usually a good combination, but that wasn’t the case at the Sun ‘N Air Golf Center in Danvers.” The bird’s talons got twisted up in the driving range net some 30 feet off the ground. We were able to reach the eagle and cut the net using one of our bucket trucks. Golfers held off on their shots and watched from below as Eric Roensch freed the hawk. “We thought he was going to kind of drop, but he flew right away,” said Steve Jones, Sun ‘N Air’s general manager.
