Earth Day is undoubtedly one of the most well-known environmental protection and conservation events on the planet. This Thursday, April 22nd will mark the 51st anniversary of the unofficial international holiday, and in honor of Earth Day we are supporting One Tree Planted, a non-profit working on the front lines of environmental conservation.
Iron Tree Service has a long history of supporting the communities we serve, from sponsoring local little leagues in cities like Beverly, Concord, Groton, Wayland, and Westford, to donating time, resources and manpower to restorations at local museums. One of the organizations near to our collective heart is One Tree Planted, which has committed itself to tackling global deforestation by planting trees all over the world. Iron Tree, in partnership with One Tree Planted, is responsible for planting over 10,000 trees in the past 2 years alone! Most recently, a total of 80,420 native trees were planted by the non-profit to restore 163 hectares of land in Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
We believe that it is incumbent upon us at Iron Tree to do our part to ensure a healthy, habitable planet for future generations. Part of that responsibility is maintaining local forests and woodlands which not only allow wildlife to flourish, but provide clean air for all of us.
